February was more than just a month of recognition it was a time to celebrate, uplift, and empower the next generation of Black leaders in STEM. Through a series of events and initiatives, we honored the legacy of Black innovators while ensuring that students today see themselves as the future of technology.

AI & Gaming Workshop: Bridging Tech & Creativity
One of the most exciting events was our AI & Gaming Workshop, where students explored the intersection of artificial intelligence and game development. They got hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms in gaming, character AI, and interactive storytelling, highlighting how Black creators are making an impact in the gaming industry. This workshop was not just about coding it was about showing students how they can be innovators, developers, and storytellers in the tech space.
Executive Coaching Speaker Series
Representation matters, and this month, we ensured students heard from Black leaders across STEM, business, and entrepreneurship. Our Executive Coaching Speaker Series featured professionals who shared their journeys, challenges, and success strategies. The key takeaway? Your background should never be a barrier it’s a strength.
Inspiring Future STEM Leaders: BMSD Student Engagement
As part of our mission to make STEM accessible, we worked closely with BMSD students, providing mentorship, leadership training, and career readiness resources. Through panel discussions and hands-on workshops, we helped students envision their place in the STEM world, reinforcing that STEM careers are not out of reach they are theirs to claim.
Why Black History Month in STEM Matters
Historically, Black contributions in science, technology, engineering, and math have been overlooked and underrepresented. This month was a chance to change that narrative not just by reflecting on the past but by actively building a future where Black youth have the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to thrive in STEM fields.
Black History Month is more than a celebration it’s a movement.
And we’re committed to making sure that Black excellence in STEM is not just recognized once a year but championed every single day.
